“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.”
Khalil Gibran
What is parent coaching?
Parent coaching provides a safe, nonjudgmental space to process the unique challenges of parenting and get support when you feel stuck.
Together, we’ll look at what’s happening beneath challenging moments, including patterns in behavior, relationships, communication, expectations, and regulation. I’ll bring my clinical experience and knowledge of child development while helping you identify practical approaches that fit your child, your family, and your values.
My approach is neurodiversity-affirming and individualized. I don’t believe there is one right way to parent, and I don’t view compliance as the ultimate goal. We can work towards meaningful changes in family life while respecting your child’s individual needs, strengths, communication style, and autonomy.
Parent coaching may be helpful if:
Traditional parenting advice hasn’t worked - or has sometimes made things worse
You and your spouse/partner have different approaches, and you’re having trouble finding common ground
You’re struggling with frequent power struggles, meltdowns, or intense emotional reactions
You are wanting more confidence and connection with your child or teen
Your child’s needs don’t seem to fit neatly into traditional parenting approaches
You’re wondering whether anxiety, ADHD, autism, sensory differences, demand sensitivity, or other factors may be affecting what you’re seeing
Common Areas of Focus
Anxiety
Meltdowns/big emotions
Sibling rivalry
